Over Geert-Jan de Maat
Geboren en getogen trotse Limburger met Zeeuwse grootvader. Studeerde geneeskunde in UMC Utrecht, Opleiding orthopedie in Maasland Ziekenhuis Sittard en AZ Maastricht.
Tijdens opleiding werkzaam geweest in verschillende ziekenhuizen; UMC Utrecht, Maasland Ziekenhuis Sittard, MC Alkmaar, Reinier de Graaf Delft, Isala klinieken Zwolle, AZ Maastricht.
Voorste kruisband onderzoek in McCaig Institute, University of Calgary, Canada.
Werkzaam in Adrz (Ziekenhuis Walcheren) sinds 2006. Na 3 jaar voorzitter van de OK-commissie en vervolgens bijna 5 jaar vice-voorzitter van de Stafmaatschap Adrz, is hij sinds 2015 actief als voorzitter van de vakgroep orthopedie.
Om goed op de hoogte te blijven van de nieuwste inzichten en ontwikkelingen is Geert-Jan de Maat een regelmatig bezoeker van nationale en internationale congressen en nascholingen. Zo bent u verzekerd van de best mogelijke behandeling.
